Winter learning journey

Bonus: This year two new sports are being added to the Paralympic Games. They are canoeing and triathlon. In the triathlon the athletes must swim 750 metres, cycle for 20 kilometres, and then run for 5 kilometres. Paralympic athletes may also compete in other sports including archery, boccia, football, judo, powerlifting, rowing, sailing, swimming, sitting volleyball, track cycling, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair fencing, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair tennis. To learn more about all of the Paralympic sports, please visit the 2016 Paralympic Games website.

Imagine that you are on the Paralympic Committee and you have been asked to create one new sport to add to the competition for this year. Use your awesome imagination to design a brand new Paralympic sport. Please remember that some of the athletes will not be able to walk or run and others may be blind or deaf. On your blog, please write:

  1. The name of your sport,
  2. A brief description of how you play the sport, and
  3. Three rules for the sport

The name of my sport is football and in football you have to get a soccer ball to kick and two goal sides to kick the ball to get an goal.

One:There are no hands are aloud in the game only the goal keeper holds it.
Two:In soccer you are not aloud to trip your apponents.
Three:You are not aloud to keep the ball with you for a long track of time.

  1. Huge congratulations, Fiapo, on finishing the Winter Learning Journey. You have done so, so well! I hope that you're really proud of your accomplishments. Not only have you finished the blogging component of the challenge but you have also actively commented on other people's blogs. That is fabulous!

I hope that you will consider participating in the summer version of this programme. It will be called a Summer Learning Journey and we will offer it in December 2016/January 2017. I would love it if you were able to join in. Everyone at St Pius will be allowed to participate :)

I'll look forward to seeing you when I come into St Pius in a few weeks to hand out the certificates and prizes to the Top 3 bloggers.

    Best, Rachel :)
